Top quality fabric materials

For the manufacturing of the covers and side panels we only use high quality materials of brands like Ferrari and Sergio Mehler. Of course, these are flame retardant materials in accordance with DIN 4102 B1, M2.

By default we offer the following materials for the covers and side panels:

 
Mehler Airtex magic FR
Airtex is very popular with our customers for its soft textile-like appearance and light weight (330g/m2) which aids faster assembly times. Because the material is translucent, it allows light to pass through more easily allowing the Crossover to illuminate from the inside very nicely at night.
Airtex is supplied in white and optional in black.

Mehler Valmex Tivoli
This medium weight fabric (582g/m2) has a high gloss finish and is available in several colors, including silver.

Ferrari Stam 6002
The light texture and matte coating of this material gives the product a luxurious look. It is available in 16 distinctive colors and is 100% recyclable.

Digital printable in high resolution

With the digital printing of the covers and sidewalls we offer the possibility to personalize the product as desired. The covers can be provided with a print on the outside. The side walls can be printed double sided.

Design
For the graphic design, you can use our design template. In the design template, the desired design can be inserted.If the edited design template is submitted, it is processed by us to print.


 
Full print or logo print
In addition to full printing a cover it is possible to only provide the sides with  a logo. This results in lower printing costs. The maximum width of the logos is 235cm. In the design template, the positions and limits of the logos are shown.

 
Quality?
For the printing we use the latest Vutek printers that can print in a resolution up to 1000dpi.  The quality of print is determined by the quality of the supplied design. Texts, logos, etc. which are supplied in vector format will deliver a nice crisp printing result. Pixel files like photos should have a resolution that is as high as possible. Since the design is delivered at scale 1:10, the resolution of the final print will be a factor 10 lower than the resolution of the design template. The resolution of the final print must be at least 25dpi. The images in the design template therefore must have a minimum resolution of 250dpi.

 
Materials

By default Airtex material with a white or grey back is used for the print. If the product is illuminated from the inside, the print beautifully lit. This effect is less when Airtex with a grey  back is applied.

When it is not desirable that the print shines through, for example for double-sided printing, you can choose for block out material. The relative heavy material (780g/m2) contains a special layer that blocks the light.

If the sides are printed on double-sided block out material, it is recommended to use Frontlit PVC material for the cover because this material has the same light gloss finish. Frontlit (450g/m2) is slightly translucent.

As an option, printing on black Airtex material is possible. For this a white backing is applied before printing colors. This method is only suitable for the printing of logos.


 
Reinforcements
The edges of our products are reinforced with PVC to ensure a long life. These reinforcements cannot be printed. However we do offer the option to apply them in white or black.

 
Painted logos
Because not all materials are well printable, we offer the possibility to apply logos with special epoxy paint. Maximum size: 150x150cm. For this the logo may only contain a few different colors and may not contain gradients.

 
Visualisation
Early 2014, we will introduce an online configuration tool that offers the possibility to visualize your design real-time, giving you a good idea of the end result in 3D.

Endless connectability

The Crossover is a modular product without brace lines and thus can be connected endlessly on all sides. This allows for large areas to be covered and playful set ups can be created.
Two Crossover units can be connected to each other with a connection gutter which can be easily applied by using YKK zippers.

Compact transport volume

During the development of the Crossover we strived to minimize transport volume and weight. This has resulted in the fact that the whole Crossover structure only takes the space of a Euro-pallet (120x80cm) when transported.

 

For transport and storage, we have developed a special box that allows to stack the tubes vertically as well horizontally. When vertically stacked, the box offers also space for the cover and side panels.
When horizontally stacked, the structure can also be transported by a van or small trailer. Thanks to an access door in the box, the parts under the tubes remain easily accessible and the box can stay in the van during installation of the structure.

The transport box is equipped with wood which have had a heat treatment according to the ISPM 15 regulation and therefore the box is suitable for international transport.

Distinctive finishing options structure

The aluminum tubes of the structure are supplied with a brushed surface. For an extra high visual impact of the structure the tubes can be powder coated or anodized.
 

When powder coating, the tubes with get a double layer coating from Dupont in a RAL color of your choice.

 


 
When anodizing, the tubes will get a hard oxide layer with a matte finish. As an option you can choose to color the oxide layer.

TÜV-certification in process

The TÜV approval is intended to ensure the structural safety of temporary structures. During the approval the strength of the product is investigated in detail according to NEN-EN 13782 standard. In addition, issues as fire protection according to DIN 4102 are checked. The TÜV Certification of the Crossover L stands for professional security and reliability. The certification is in process now. We will inform when the certification is completed by our newsletter.
The certification applies to free standing and connected Crossover units and thus includes all possible set-up options. In addition, the ballast system is also included.
 

An important part of the TÜV certification is the product book, which consists of:
• a general introduction of the TÜV inspection engineer
• a detailed building manual
• a detailed anchoring manual
• Product and detail drawings

The TÜV-product book can be put in the name to be used as building permit.

600kg to install in structure

In the top of the structure four mounting points are provided which can adapt hardware to 600kg in total. This makes it possible to lift a rack with light and sound or a stylish chandelier in the structure.

The extra 600kg payload can also be used as extra snow load.

In each corner a M10 mounting point is provided to install for example a monitor or light fixtures. For displays with mounting points according to the VESA directive, we offer an optional universal mounting kit.

Quick and easy assembly

The Hexadome M  can be easily assembled by two men within two hours using a telescopic lift or crane. As the structure is built from the ground up in layers, the need to work at height is eliminated. Due to the limited size and weight of the components, no tools are required for its assembly and as they are very easy to handle, height and muscle strength is not necessary.

Assembling the structure without a lift or crane is possible and in many cases often faster, however it is not recommended because it can result in unfavourable forces being applied to the structure which may lead to damage.

After building, the structure is anchored and the cover is installed. If desired the side walls can be mounted.

Robust, but lightweight aluminum structure

The structure is built out of oversized rolled aluminum tubes. By using so-called 6082T6 aluminum, the tubes are lightweight, but as strong as steel. The short length of the tubes contributes to the compact transport volume of the Crossover.
The aluminum tubes are attached to each other with connectors. The connectors consist of tubes of extra strong S355-steel, accurately 3D-cut with the laser. Then the connectors are robot-welded and galvanized. All this guarantees optimum quality, long life and a good fit.
High quality marine grade stainless steel cables give the ultimate strength and stiffness and make it possible to keep the structure weight low. By tensioning the lower cables, all cables are put under tension and the structure will get its rigidity.
The construction is calculated in detail according to the NEN-EN 13782 standard and the certification by the German TÜV is in process. This guarantees professional safety and reliability.

Fully closable

The Crossover can be fully closed with side panels that can be installed easily with YKK zippers. The panels are tensioned at the bottom with tensioners at the feet of the structure and optionally at intermediate anchor points in the ground surface.
If desired, the side panels can be provided with windows and/or a door. The doorway is created by opening the two vertical zippers and rolling the panel up.
 

The side panels are digitally printable on both sides. Panels with windows can only be printed on the outside.

Mountable on a stage

The dimensions of the Crossover are chosen so that the product fits perfectly on the most used staging systems such as Layher (stitch 2072mm/non metric). For this the Crossover can be used as  stage roofing or as part of a VIP-deck.

 

By means of standard stage clamps, the Crossover can be connected to the vertical beams of the stage. The stage then can be used as anchor foundation.

 

 

Multiple anchoring possibilities

For a safe application of the Crossover, is has to be anchored well to the ground surface. There are several anchoring options provided for both hard and soft surfaces. The Crossover is basically only anchored on the four corners of the structure. If desired, additional intermediate anchor points may also be provided extra support to the walls.
Anchoring with anchor pins
This method is ideal for installation on soft surfaces. The pin can be installed manually with a heavy sledgehammer or mechanical device. Through an optional accessory the pin can be easily pulled out of the ground.
Anchoring with screw connections
With this method the feet of structure are fixed on a hard surface using concrete screws, anchor bolts or special plugs. This anchoring method is ideal for installation on hard surfaces in which may be drilled.
Anchoring with ballast
In situations where it is not permitted to make an anchorage in the ground surface, the anchoring can be achieved by applying a ballast. We have developed a ballast system that uses commonly available concrete ballast tiles and does not interrupt connecting Crossover units and the installation of side panels. If desired the ballast tiles can be covered so they can be used as a bench or demo table.
Anchoring at a stage
If the Crossover is used as stage roofing or as part of a VIP deck, the stage can be used as anchoring. By means of standard stage clamps, the Crossover can be connected to the vertical beams of the stage.
